On February 22, three journalists were attacked while collecting news about illegal sand extraction. The injured journalists are Choton Kanti Nath, Chakaria correspondent of Kaler Kantho, Iqbal Faruk, correspondent of Amar Desh and M. Jiabul Haque, correspondent of Dainik Sangbad.
