A lawsuit has been filed in court against two journalists by local cooperative society authorities in Lalmonirhat following the publication of news regarding irregularities. The case was filed in the Rangpur Cyber Tribunal against Daily Kalbela’s Lalmonirhat correspondent S K Shahed and Daily Naya Diganta’s digital division correspondent Md. Zubair Ahmed Khan. The plaintiff of the case is M A Hashem alias Babul, Managing Director of the cooperative society. The lawsuit was filed on September 8, 2026.
