An allegation of assault, physical beating, and snatching of a mobile phone has been raised against attackers targeting two journalists while they were recording video of examinees taking an exam by looking at books during the Open University 1st-year English 1st paper examination at Kazipur Degree College in Gangni upazila of Meherpur. Rabbi Ahmed, Meherpur district correspondet for Bangladesh Betar and Nagorik Television, and Tarek Hossain, district correspondet for Daily Khaborer Kagoj, were injured in this incident. The injured journalists alleged that the incident occurred on the morning of August 28, 2026, during the BOU BA/BSS 1st-year English exam at Kazipur Degree College. A complaint has been lodged at Gangni Police Station regarding the incident.
