Somoy TV has accused Sajib Hasan, a central organizer of the Jatiya Jubo Shakti (the youth wing of NCP), of attacking two of its journalists. The incident occurred on the afternoon of March 8, 2026, in front of Bidyut Bhaban near the Secretariat. According to the media report, while the journalists were discussing traffic signal issues with a traffic sergeant, Sajib Hasan intervened, engaged in an argument, and physically harassed them. However, a volunteer from Bangladesh Media Monitor present at the scene reported that Somoy TV Special Correspondent Prosun Ashish and Senior Video Journalist Aminur Rahman were the ones involved in the initial argument with the traffic sergeant.
