Victimized journalists lodged a General Diary (GD) at Badda Police Station in the capital over death threats issued to three journalists at Dhaka International University (DIU) following the publication of news regarding drugs. On September 10, 2026, Md. Abul Khair, President of the Dhaka International University Journalists’ Association and one of the victimized journalists, confirmed the matter. They are all students at Dhaka International University and work as university correspondents for various media organizations.
