Md. Shahinur Rahman Sona, a journalist working in Rajshahi, raised allegations of receiving death threats over his mobile phone following the publication of a news report. The threat was delivered to his mobile phone on the afternoon of September 8, 2026. In connection with this incident, he lodged a General Diary (GD) at Boalia Model Police Station seeking security for himself and his family. Shahinur Rahman Sona is serving as the Rajshahi Bureau Chief for ‘Daily Sokalero Somoy’.
