Reporters Assaulted Inside Police Station in Faridpur

In Sadarpur, Faridpur, two journalists were subjected to a series of brutal attacks after documenting illegal fuel smuggling. The victims, Tofazzal Hossain Titu of Channel S and Alamgir Hossain of Daily Dhaka Protidin, were first assaulted on the night of April 3, 2026, by oil dealer Mohammad Ali Molya and his son in the Gabtala area. Shockingly, the violence followed them to the gates of justice. On the morning of April 4, while the journalists were at the Sadarpur Police Station to file a formal complaint, they were attacked for a second time inside the station courtyard by the same dealer and his associates. A third assault took place shortly after on the road directly in front of the police station, allegedly led by Rafiqul Islam Montu.
