Jobayer, a correspondent for Dainik Sangram, was physically assaulted by BNP activists at the Natore Government Girls’ High School polling center on February 12, 2026, around 11:00 AM. The attack occurred after Jobayer recorded video footage of a clash between supporters of two rival groups. The attackers targeted him to stop the documentation of the violence during the election.
