A journalist has accused several individuals of abduction, assault, and extortion in Kaliakoir, Gazipur. According to the complaint filed by the victim, Naimur Rahman Durjoy, Multimedia Reporter for the Daily Bangladesh Pratidin, he was lured into a trap by an acquaintance (a woman) and four other individuals, detained, and tortured. The incident occurred on the afternoon of November 18, 2025, in a secluded area beside the Gazipur-Tangail Highway in Mouchak Union of Kaliakoir Upazila.
