Journalist Ibrahim Hossain Samrat was severely injured in an attack by thugs in Rajshahi city as a consequence of performing his professional duties. He is currently undergoing treatment in critical condition at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital. The attack occurred on the night of July 30, 2026, around 10:00 PM, in front of the Gangpara Graveyard under Shah Makhdum Police Station in the city.
