A multimedia reporter for the daily Kaler Kantho was attacked by a group wielding sticks while conducting a live Facebook broadcast of a conflict at Dhaka Alia Madrasah on November 22, 2025. During the live broadcast, the journalist repeatedly asked the assailants not to lay hands on him and not to snatch his mobile phone.
Update: The injured journalist has been identified as Raihan Hossain. He reported that in addition to his mobile phone being snatched, he was also physically injured in the attack.
