Major (Retd.) Mainul, the security coordinator for Zaima Rahman (daughter of BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman), verbally obstructed multimedia journalists from taking photos during an event in Iskaton. The incident occurred on February 8, 2026. Major Mainul reportedly behaved rudely, made offensive gestures and mockingly questioned the journalists, asking, “What even is ‘mobile media’?” Around 10 to 12 multimedia journalists were present at the scene during the encounter.
