Magistrate Md. Shahajan Ali
Chuadanga District and Sessions Judge Md. Rafiqul Islam visited the Darshana Port area with his family, accompanied by the newly appointed Chief Judicial Magistrate Md. Shahajan Ali. During the visit, Rezaul Karim Liton, a senior reporter for Channel 24 who was present at the scene, addressed Magistrate Shahajan Ali as ‘Bhai’ (brother). Enraged by this form of address, the Magistrate verbally harassed the journalist. The incident took place on the afternoon of December 17, 2025, in the Darshana international checkpost area.
