Mahmud Hossain, the Pirojpur district correspondent for Dainik Bangladesher Khobor and The Daily Muslim Times, was assaulted and his residence was vandalized. The incident occurred on the morning of February 3, 2026, in the Shikarpur area of Pirojpur town. As he was preparing to leave for work, a man named Kabir, along with his mother and two others, forcibly entered Hossain’s home and beat him. His professional camera was also reportedly vandalized during the attack.
