Mizanur Rahman Sohel, Online Editor of the daily Vorer Kagoj, was picked up from his residence at night by individuals identifying themselves as Detective Branch (DB) police. He was taken away sometime after 12:00 AM on the night of November 18, 2025. Following the incident, Al Jazeera I-Unit Producer Zulkarnain Saer expressed suspicion on his social media handle, pointing towards a smartphone selling syndicate and Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb, Special Assistant to the Chief Advisor.
