In Nesarabad, Pirojpur, Asian TV reporter Muhidul Islam Muhid was attacked by miscreants on September 27, 2025. The assault took place while he was gathering information regarding a land dispute. Locals rescued him and admitted him to Nesarabad Upazila Health Complex. Later, as his condition worsened, he was transferred to Barishal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital for advanced treatment.
