The incident occurred on March 2, 2026, at the multipurpose hall of the Institution of Diploma Engineers, Bangladesh (IDEB). Chapal confirmed the matter to Bangladesh Media Monitor, stating that several other journalists were also obstructed. Consequently, he had to leave the venue without being able to collect news.
