Ali Mamud, the City Editor of Dainik Dinkal and a member of the BNP’s media cell, was found unconscious in a restroom at the National Press Club in Dhaka on the morning of February 10, 2026. He was rushed to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead upon arrival. Police reported that his body was recovered after breaking the lock of a restroom in the presence of his family members. It is initially suspected that he died of cardiac arrest.
