Jamuna Television’s Narsingdi staff correspondent, Ayub Khan Sarkar, was attacked while reporting on a clash between two factions of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP). The incident took place on September 18 at the district Central Hospital. Followers of Abdul Kaiyum, the expelled member secretary of the BNP’s Alokbali Union unit, launched a sudden assault on him, leaving him seriously injured in different parts of his body.
