Four journalists were injured in an attack by hawkers amidst clashes between police and street vendors over an eviction drive against illegal sidewalk occupations. The incident occurred on September 30, 2026, in the Mirpur 10 Circle area. The injured journalists are Somoy Television Video Journalist Sifat, Reporter Kamrul, Dhaka Post Multimedia Reporter Maruf, and a Video Journalist for Star News. Additionally, a vehicle belonging to Jamuna Television was vandalized.
