A shooting incident took place at a regular hangout spot for journalists in Khulna city. Four journalists and a local BNP leader were present at the scene during the attack. One journalist suffered minor injuries after being struck by bullet splinters. The incident occurred around 12:05 AM on July 15, 2026, in front of Jalil’s tea stall on the west side of the United Nations Children’s Park in Khulna city. Eyewitnesses reported that two youths suddenly arrived on a motorcycle, fired directly at the journalists, and fled the scene.
