In a disturbing incident at the Manikganj Court premises, a local journalist was physically assaulted on April 9, 2026. The victim, Mohammad Rana Parvez, serves as the district correspondent for Bangla TV and holds official positions in the Manikganj District Television Reporters’ Unit and the Manikganj Press Club. Following the attack, Parvez filed a formal written complaint on April 12 with the District Bar Association, naming Advocate Md. Jinnat Ali and several others as the primary assailants.
