AC Land Raids Journalist’s Home Out Of Vendetta

Out of personal vendetta, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Rafiur Rahman conducted a narcotics search drive at the home of Daily Manab Zamin upazila representative Rofiqul Islam Saju in Roumari, Kurigram. On September 3, 2026, around 11:00 AM, accompanied by two police officers and several Ansar members, he carried out a fruitless search at journalist Saju’s residence in Sabujpara of the upazila. Journalist Saju was present at home during the raid. The journalist stated that on September 2, he had questioned the AC Land over the phone regarding irregularities and corruption, which triggered this incident immediately after.
