Three journalists were verbally harassed by several pro-Jamaat lawyers while covering the submission of the investigation report in the Fardin Noor Parash murder case (BUET student). During the incident on October 28, 2025, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Hasib Ullah Piyas summoned the three journalists to the dock and threatened to send them to jail. The three journalists who were harassed are Masud Rana, Staff Correspondent for Kaler Kantho, Ariful Islam, a reporter for Ekushey Television, and Ariful Islam, a reporter for The Business Standard.
