The membership of Bangladesh Crime Reporters Association (CRAB) Executive Committee President Mirza Mehedi Tamal and General Secretary M M Badsha in the Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) has been cancelled due to involvement in activities against organizational discipline. Their membership was revoked at the 145th meeting of the DRU Executive Committee on October 24, 2025. The allegation against them is that they were involved in illegal financial transactions to fraudulently correct land records, using their identities as journalists.
