An attack on journalists took place at the BNP Chairperson’s office in Gulshan. During the incident, a journalist’s mobile phone was also broken, and several other reporters were harassed. The attack occurred at around 4:30 p.m. on October 19, 2025, targeting Zahidul Islam, a reporter of the daily Amar Desh. At the same time, Sajjad of the English daily The Daily Star, Asim Al Imran of Naya Diganta, and Khalid Hossain of Jago News were also subjected to harassment, according to journalists present at the scene.
