In Charfassion upazila of Bhola, a journalist named Saiful Islam was allegedly threatened with being burned alive in public by Sabuj, president of the Charfassion municipal unit of the shramik League (Workers’ League). Following the threat, Saiful Islam filed a General Diary (GD) at Charfassion Police Station on the night of October 14, 2025, seeking protection. Earlier that morning, the threat was made in front of a mosque near the residence of Saiful Islam, who is the General Secretary of the Charfassion Reporters’ Unity and also the Charfassion upazila correspondent of Dainik Bangla.
