During the period from July to September 2025, Dainik Amar Desh has been given a Yellow marking. The reason is that it is not a neutral news outlet, but rather openly functions as the voice of the opposition political bloc. The newspaper identifies itself as the mouthpiece of the “anti-fascist” and reformist movement, giving priority to specific opposition forces. As a result, it does not present all perspectives equally, and the balance of information is compromised.
On the positive side, it is not under the control of the state or government, and it has consistently criticized both past regimes and the current administration. For this reason, it has not been given a Red mark. However, the lack of transparency about its financial sources, along with the near absence of views from all parties or state institutions, limits its diversity.
Amar Desh remains a bold opposition platform but has failed to meet the standards of neutral journalism. Therefore, it has been classified as Yellow.
