The prominent businessman, the late Latifur Rahman, was one of the key entrepreneurs and the founding chairman of the organization. From the very beginning, Matiur Rahman has been serving as its editor and publisher. While the primary commercial and corporate financing of the newspaper is managed under Mediastar Limited, a separate board of trustees named ‘Prothom Alo Trust’ oversees and manages specific funds with financial transparency and accountability. Furthermore, as a private limited company operating under standard legal and corporate frameworks, detailed annual financial statements and audit reports regarding its overall internal revenue and expenditures are naturally limited in open sources or the public domain.
