After remaining shut for 11 long years, the daily Amar Desh newspaper resumed publication on December 22, 2024. Its publication had been halted on April 11, 2013. At that time, the newspaper’s editor, Mahmudur Rahman, was arrested from his office by police, and the publication of the paper was subsequently suspended.
