On September 29, 2025, 24-hour news based satellite television channel News24 terminated three journalists without prior notice. Those dismissed are Chief News Editor Md. Shah Azizur Rahman Kiran, Executive Editor Farid Uddin, and News Editor Plabon Rahman. News24 operates under East West Media Group, the media wing of the well known Bashundhara Group.
