On the evening of March 10, 2020, photojournalist and editor of Pakkhakal magazine, Shafiqul Islam Kajol, went missing. A day earlier, on March 9, Magura-1 MP Saifuzzaman Shikhor had filed a case under the Digital Security Act at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station against 32 people, including Manabzamin editor Matiur Rahman and Shafiqul Islam Kajol. On the night of May 2, 2020, Kajol was rescued by a patrol team of Jessore 49 BGB’s Raghunathpur camp from a field in Sadipur, near the Benapole border.
