Senior journalist Babu Swapan Kumar Bhadra of Tarakanda upazila in Mymensingh was hacked to death in front of his residence. Journalist Swapan Kumar Bhadra was the son of the late Nagendra Chandra Bhadra of Aotdar village in Kakni union under Tarakanda upazila, and a resident of the Raghurampur Tanpara area in Mymensingh Sadar upazila. The incident occurred on October 12, 2024, around 11:30 AM in the Raghurampur Tanpara area adjacent to Shambhuganj Bazar in Mymensingh Sadar upazila. Kotwali Police Station personnel arrested a youth named Sagar in connection with this incident.
