Allegations of threats and pressure have been raised against perpetrators targeting S M Shamim, Chief Editor of the online news portal ‘News & Business’, following the publication of a news report. For safety reasons, he lodged a General Diary (GD) at Tejgaon Industrial Area Police Station. Threats began mounting right after the publication of a report regarding two eight-story buildings owned by former BG Press driver Mosaddek Hossain Shafi. Between September 12 and 16, 2026, several individuals calling on behalf of Shafi, including Raj and Babu, phoned him to pressure him into removing the news and refraining from publishing subsequent reports.
