Around 1:30 AM on the night of September 15, 2026, four armed individuals arrived on two motorcycles at the residence of Bangla TV journalist Pranto Parvez in the Sobujbangla area of Pallabi. After searching for the journalist, they fired shots targeting him before fleeing the scene. Following this incident, the victimized journalist lodged a case at Pallabi Police Station. In connection with this event, the Special Response Battalion-4 (SRB-4) arrested two individuals, including Atiq, the mastermind of the ‘Bhoira De’ group, along with a foreign pistol and Yaba tablets.
