Three journalists were reportedly harassed while gathering news during a four-hour clash, chase and counter-chase between activists of Chhatra Dal and Chhatra Shibir over establishing dominance at Govindaganj Abdul Haq Smriti Degree College in Chhatak upazila of Sunamganj. While gathering news of this incident on September 24, 2026, local journalists Moshahid Ali, AR Sayem and Lokman Ahmad were allegedly harassed by activists of Chhatra Shibir. Moshahid Ali, the Chhatak Upazila Correspondent for the Daily Amar Songbad, stated that attempts were also made to snatch their mobile phones during the attack.
