Police have filed a case naming 40 individuals, including a journalist, over a bus arson incident in Savar, Dhaka. Additionally, 20 to 30 unidentified individuals have been named as accused. On the night of September 21, 2026, Sub-Inspector (SI) Md. Abbas Uddin of Savar Model Police Station filed the lawsuit. The case brings allegations regarding an arson attack on a Savar Paribahan bus in the Radio Colony area on the Dhaka-Aricha Highway that same night. The name of Md. Kamruzzaman Khan, a Senior Reporter for the Times of Bangladesh newspaper, is listed as the 18th accused in the case.
