Dhaka Stream was threatened with a cyber attack via email following the publication of a news report. On September 20, 2026, Dhaka Stream published a report titled “Al-Qaeda leaders’ books at Islamic Book Fair, who is behind it?” The report highlighted the sale of translated books by deceased Al-Qaeda leaders at a book fair organized by the Islamic Foundation at Baitul Mukarram. The night after the report was published, an email sent to Dhaka Stream stipulated conditions to delete the report and offer an apology. Otherwise, a cyber attack on the website was threatened within 12 hours. Following this incident, the Dhaka Stream authorities lodged a General Diary (GD) at Kalabagan Police Station on September 22.
