During the midnight hours of September 20, 2026, an altercation occurred between Asia Post reporter Nurul Amin Hasan and a motorcyclist while gathering news at a police checkpost in the Dhaka Airport area. Police intercepted the motorcyclist at the checkpost for not wearing a helmet. At one point, as the journalist began recording video, the rider mistreated him and labeled him a “collaborator of autocracy.” Confirming the truth of the incident to Bangladesh Media Monitor, the reporter stated that he is currently receiving threats through various channels. Furthermore, Nurul Amin revealed that the motorcyclist was Imran Khan, Vice President of Dhaka Metropolitan North Chhatra Dal.
