An allegation of assault has been raised against a Shromik Dal leader targeting a journalist following an altercation over a ticket queue at the Dohar Upazila Health Complex in Dhaka. The incident occurred around 11:00 AM on August 29, 2026. An Ansar security member was also verbally abused during the incident. The journalist injured in the assault is Nurul Islam (Tanim), the Dohar representative for the Daily Kalbela. The accused individual is Abdur Razzaq, General Secretary of Dohar Pourashava Shromik Dal.
