Dhaka Stream Files GD After Extremism Investigation

The management of the prominent multimedia outlet Dhaka Stream has filed a formal General Diary (GD) with the police following rampant death threats. The complaint was lodged on June 26, 2026, at the Kalabagan Police Station in Dhaka, as confirmed by the network’s Head of Communication, S.M. Minhajur Rahman. The onslaught of threats began shortly after its sister concern, Bangla Stream, published an investigative report on June 23 titled “The country flooded with black-and-white flags, Who is behind it?”. The report was subsequently amplified globally by Dhaka Stream under the title “Who is behind the ubiquitous Al-Qaeda flags in Bangladesh?” Following these publications, the media house became the target of coordinated digital intimidation and death threats.
