Three entertainment journalists were subjected to verbal abuse and death threats while on duty inside the Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC). The incident occurred on June 27, 2026, under the leadership of stunt artist Md. Nazmul Haque Bruce Lee, who targeted the reporters with obscene language and explicit physical threats. The victims have been identified as Humaira Siddiqua from Asia Post, Newaz Shuvro from Somoy TV, and Samad Rubel from Times Today. In immediate retaliation to this security breach, the Multimedia Entertainment Journalists association organized a human chain protest today to demand structural safety inside the state-run film studio.
