Seven leading journalists from Bhola’s Char Fasson were sued under the Cyber Security Act. The case was filed on April 28, 2026, at the Barishal Cyber Crime Tribunal by Motahar Hossain Alamgir Maltya, a former general secretary of the local BNP. The accused include the entire core leadership of the Char Fasson Press Club, including its President Zulfikar Mahmud Niaz and General Secretary Kamal Goldar.
