Musaddeq Al Akib, Chandpur correspondent for Bangla Edition, was brutally assaulted by 10–12 miscreants on April 28, 2026. The attack occurred inside the office of Municipal Administrator Ershad Uddin while Akib was submitting a Right to Information (RTI) request regarding alleged municipal corruption.
