In a violent encounter at Shahbagh, two multimedia journalists, Shoaib Bin Akbar and Zakaria Rabiul, were injured while documenting a chaotic clash between activists of Chhatra Dal and Chhatra Shibir. The incident occurred on April 23, 2026, directly in front of the Shahbagh Police Station. Shoaib Bin Akbar, serving as the Multimedia Reporter for Bangladesh Times, and Zakaria Rabiul, the Lead Multimedia Reporter for Agamir Somoy, were targeted while attempting to capture visual evidence of the political disorder.
