In Chandina, Cumilla, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Faisal Al Noor confiscated the mobile phones of two journalists and sent them to the police station in handcuffs for recording video footage at the local land office. The incident took place on the afternoon of April 1, 2026. The two victims are Russell Sarkar, the Debidwar correspondent for Dainik Manab Zamin and Abdul Alim, the Debidwar reporter for Face the People and Dainik Amar Shohor.
