Khairul Alam Faisal, the Kishoreganj district correspondent for Channel 24 and Faizul Islam Bhuiyan Pinku, the district correspondent for Global Television, were attacked while covering an auction at the historic Pagla Mosque in Kishoreganj. Members of a local auction syndicate carried out the assault on the evening of March 5, 2026, in front of the mosque’s auction room after Asr prayers. Both journalists sustained injuries and are currently undergoing treatment at a local hospital.
