M. Mizanur Rahman, a member of the Chittagong University Journalists’ Association and a correspondent for Star News, has received a death threat over the phone from Chhatra Dal leader Md. Sifatul Islam. The threat, issued on January 26, 2026, followed a report titled “Drug-accused CU Chhatra Dal activist staying illegally in hall.” Sifatul Islam serves as the Assistant Organizing Secretary of the university unit of Chhatra Dal.
