Former BRTA Assistant Director Shah Alam kicked photojournalist Abdur Rahman on the Barishal court premises while being escorted to jail after his bail was denied in a corruption case. The incident occurred on the afternoon of January 26, 2026. While Shah Alam’s relatives were already obstructing media personals, Shah Alam himself forcefully kicked Abdur Rahman in the presence of the police.
